| English in Action, a program of the English-Speaking Union of the United States, matches newly arrived immigrants, international students, visitors and others with American volunteers for one-to-one conversation practice.
Through weekly meetings with volunteer tutors, non-English speakers have the opportunity to gain self-confidence and skill in understanding and speaking English.
Students must have some basic knowledge of the English language to participate in EiA and must be based in the New York City metro area. | |
