| We offer a special program of General English combined with an organized program of social and cultural activities. This course provides an opportunity for students to relax and make friends while learning about the life and culture of San Francisco and improving your English at the same time!
The Language Course
Students can choose between an English language course of
15 lessons a week (Monday to Friday 14.00 to 17.00) or
20 lessons a week (Monday to Friday 14.00 - 18.00).
The language course develops your general English, improving your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, as well as your pronunciation and grammar. There is an emphasis on communication and we teach you to put your English to practical use in a variety of situations.
Social and Cultural Activities
Mornings activities and excursions are accompanied by a teacher/guide and will include some of the following:
Visits to museums such as the Museum of Modern Art, the Legion of Honor Museum and the Cable Car Museum
Visits to famous attractions in the center of San Francisco such as the Coit Tower, Fisherman's Wharf or Chinatown
Visits to other local attractions such as Alcatraz, Golden Gate Park, Golden Gate Bridge, Sausalito, and Tiburon
Guided walks and project-based activities exploring different aspects of life in San Francisco
Sports activities such as football, baseball, bowling and ice-skating
Supervised use of college self-study facilities (computers, video, language laboratory) | |
