| A Winter Week in London is offered every December 27 through January 3rd and includes six evening performances including an opera, ballet, concert, musical, and drama plus a matinee in Stratford. Lectures, backstage visits, New Year's Eve dinner/performance and area coach tours are offered. Two daily meals are included in the package and there is ample leisure time for individual pursuits.
London performances (best available seating) include the Royal Shakespeare Company, Royal Opera, London Symphony Orchestra, the English National Ballet, and both a drama and a musical at West End theatres. Additional performances can be scheduled for a supplement. Quality accommodations are at the Le Meridien Russell situated very near the British Museum and within convenient walking distance to the Underground, West End theatres, unique restaurants and shops. In preparation for travel, participants will receive reading materials about playwrights, composers, artists and acting companies as well as the London arts scene. There are several on-site seminars and backstage tours that will enhance the enjoyment of the many performances. Leisure time is available to pursue individual interests.
Price includes best seats available, round-trip transportation to shows, educational materials and seminars/lectures, breakfasts, some evening meals, early evening New Year's Eve celebration, twin-bed rooms (singles for supplement), guided tour of the city and professional university leadership.
