As you travel through the Tuscan countryside, you will see the same breathtaking vistas that are depicted in the works of the master painters. Discover why there is no better place on earth to learn about these two important periods of world history. Walk through Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance, to see many of the great buildings of this era, including: the Baptistry with Ghiberti's "Doors of Paradise;" and the Palazzo Vecchio, the seat of Florentine government during the city's golden age. Focus on the Renaissance in a lecture, then examine some of the best work of the early Renaissance artists in the Brancacci Chapel.
