| Since its founding almost two decades ago, the Intercultural Relations Program has been at the forefront in advancing the study and practice of intercultural relations. The program’s focus on the human dimension of intercultural interactions as the key to effective communication among cultures sets it apart from traditional programs. The program offers an exciting balance of theoretical and experiential training, with the many cultural and educational resources of Boston available to students. Field-based work is an integral part of the curriculum.
Students may choose to concentrate on areas of professional interest: Intercultural Training and Consulting; Managing Culturally Diverse Human Resources; International Education Exchange/International Student Advising; Multicultural Education; Intercultural Health and Human Services; Development Project Administration and Intercultural Conflict Management. Students also have the option of designing their own concentration, where they can connect their own professional interest or focus with intercultural perspectives. As the final piece of their program, students complete a required internship in a setting of their choice.
Lesley graduates use their skills in international organizations, universities and schools, community organizations, government agencies, multinational corporations and elsewhere. | |
