| The Weatherhead School of Management offers a full-time, two-year MBA program, which offers 17 areas of concentration including e-Business, Entrepreneurship, Non-Profit Management and International Management.
The Weatherhead School of Management is one of the world’s foremost creative learning communities. Our innovative approach to MBA education focuses on design in management. The application of design thinking to managerial challenges includes a broad-based approach to exploring the larger setting of a problem, a questioning of the taken-for-granted, a creative synthesis across several domains of expertise, and a commitment to implementing solutions that are both economically and humanly satisfying. We assess the critical skills of entering students, then assist them in creating an individual learning plan to enhance their competencies while building their knowledge base and their ability to engage in design thinking. Through our assessment of learning outcomes, we have demonstrated the Weatherhead School’s effectiveness in fostering managerial skills and knowledge.
Action learning projects, service opportunities, executive leadership dialogues, integrated coursework, and individual mentoring relationships are interwoven into the design in management experience at the Weatherhead School. MBA students also have a rich set of opportunities to develop a global perspective through joint degree programs as well as exchange programs with leading management schools on four continents.
In addition, the Weatherhead School’s unique Peter B. Lewis Building, designed by world-renowned architect Frank O. Gehry, reflects the creative learning environment at Weatherhead. The Lewis Building, through its dramatic integration of architecture and design, offers a rich environment for students to experience Weatherhead’s innovative approach to learning and prepares students for the challenges facing organizations and executives in the future. At the Weatherhead School, students will find the integration of management disciplines, a commitment to lifelong learning, the willingness to improvise, and an individually designed plan for developing personal and organizational competencies. | |
