Description:
| The program offers studies in the history, context and interpretation of works of art produced in Italy from the high Middle Ages to the early Baroque. It provides a unique and broad range of experience wherein you will be introduced to the history of art conservation over the centuries, the development of critical research and teaching skills, and archival documentation. The content of the seminars changes to reflect current research interests of participating faculty. Over the prescribed 3-semester program, candidates complete 30 graduate credits. The first semester takes place in Syracuse. The second and third semesters take place in Florence and culminate with a symposium. | |
