Degrees are offered in the areas of arts and sciences, business, education, and technology. Pittsburg State University offers an interpersonal and caring environment with instructors from diverse backgrounds. There are educational opportunities for approximately 6500 students with affordable tuition, compared to many universities and colleges in the United States. It operates on a traditional semester system with a fall semester beginning in late August, a spring semester beginning in mid-January, and two four-week summer sessions in June and July.
