Description:
| Studio Art Centers International: The Post-Baccalaureate program
was created to meet the need for serious and challenging study in the visual
arts, art history, and art conservation for students who have already
completed a first degree (BA, BS, BFA or the international equivalent). The
program is especially well-suited to people who: have some prior training,
but decided too late in their undergraduate careers that they wanted to
concentrate in the visual arts, art history, museology, or art conservation;
would like to continue their education and earn an advanced degree (MFA,
MA), but do not feel prepared for these programs; are mature returning
students with prior experience in the proposed area of study, who want to
pursue an arts education seriously and feel that the combined artistic and
scholarly resources of SACI (including the separate Graduate Center with
individual studio and study areas) and Florence would benefit their growth
in becoming practicing artists or scholars. The one-year Post-Baccalaureate
Certificate Program in Art and Art History has been approved by the National
Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). Post-Baccalaureate
Disciplines Include: Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Ceramics, Sculpture,
Photography, Video, Computer Art, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Art
history, Museology and Art Conservation. |
