| The Russian Language, Culture and Society Program at Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) is designed for students interested in studying the Russian language, literature, history, education system, politics, international relations, journalism, science, economics and business. Students can enroll in courses, independent study and research with faculty. Internships are available for qualified students. The program includes sightseeing trips in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Novgorod, and cultural excursions to the Russian ballet, cathedrals and museums. Depending on course load and research involvement, students can earn up to 22 credit hours towards their undergraduate or graduate degree. Knowledge of Russian is not necessary. All classes, independent study and research projects are conducted in English. This program is offered for the Fall semester, Spring semester, Summer session and academic year.
[MSU] Moscow State University, founded in 1755, is the most important educational, scientific and cultural center in Russia, and one of the leading academic institutions in the world. In the rating-list of Europe's leading Universities (Gourman Report, National Education Standards, USA) MSU occupies the second place.
[CURRICULUM] Students can select from over 30 courses in Russian studies, history, business, international relations, literature, liberal arts and the sciences. Internships, research and independent study are available in business, international relations, journalism, diplomacy, global economics, health, humanities and other areas.
[LIVING] Students live at the Main University Dormitory, in single occupancy rooms that are part of a two-room suit. Each suit has a living area and bathroom. Student activities include sports, academic clubs and social gatherings with Russian and other international students. Moscow has a thriving nightlife full of theaters, nightclubs and cultural events.
[EXCURSIONS] The program includes sightseeing and cultural excursions in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Novgorod. These three cities hold special historical, cultural and architectural significance and share the honor of serving as Russia's capital at some point in its history.
[TUTION] Summer term - $6,350; Fall term - $7,750; Spring term - $7,750; Academic Year - $14,560. Tuition includes all academic fees, textbooks, accommodations, roundtrip travel, visa, transportation in Moscow, on-site support, medical coverage and excursions in Russia. All forms of federal, state and local financial aid and scholarship awards can be used to pay program tuition. | |
