Description:
| ASA in Costa Rica is an intensive Spanish language program combining homestay and community service for a summer of learning and fun. Daily language classes and activities along with the homestay provide full language and cultural immersion. Community service projects, such as teaching English to children, improving school facilities, helping at an old persons' home or working on environmental projects gives a further layer of cultural immersion and an opportunity to personally contribute to the local community. Excursions include the Poas and Arenal volcanoes, Guanacaste and Tortuguero beaches and nature reserve, a "finca" coffee farm, and whitewater rafting.
