Description:
| Students will participate in a truly amazing Spanish language experience program tailored for middle school students and high school freshmen!
Grecia, with its unique, spired, all-metal Catholic church as a centerpiece, is the ideal backdrop to practice Spanish in Costa Rica. The language school and the 4-bedded student "casitas" are located just a few blocks outside the center of town.
Classes are held in the afternoons, Monday through Friday, and are divided into three 50-minute sessions. Students are placed at their appropriate level: beginner, intermediate or advanced. Because students all learn at different speeds and in different ways, these three macro-levels are each divided into three micro- levels which ensure that every student receives instruction that is tailored to his or her ability, capacity and learning style. There are only 3 students per class.
The program balances structured activities and free time. Morning excursions include dance and cooking classes, a humanitarian project, visits to nearby towns and museums, hiking, horseback riding, ziplining through the rainforest, swimming, language partner activities and sports.
Weekend excursions to other locations enable participants to explore pristine beaches, active volcanoes, jungle waterfalls, and so much more. | |
