Description:
| An academic semester or year abroad provides students with an invaluable opportunity for personal development, increasing cultural knowledge and awareness, and gaining confidence in using another language. The High School Programme is open to students aged 12-18 years and is available at a wide variety of private and state schools in Ireland. The Irish educational system offers a broad range of academic subjects in science, technology and the arts, and the atmosphere in our chosen schools is caring and supportive. The school year in Ireland, September to June, is divided into 3 terms. The principal entry date is September but students may enrol at the start of any term. A student may choose to study in an Irish high school for one term only or for one academic year. Others may choose to complete their full secondary education in Ireland. At International House Icon we take care of every aspect of the study abroad programme, from choossing the right school, host family and school subjects to making every effort to ensure that the student is happy in their new enviornment and integrating well with their new classmates. | |
