Description:
| After arriving in Zürich, the students experience the Swiss Alps from our chalet. We will hike to the chalet and learn the history and culture of Switzerland during this first orientation week. Participants learn German-speaking history and culture, and improve language skills through daily tours, excursions and structured lessons. At the beginning of the second week, students travel north to Concordia Language Villages’ sister city, Bad Waldsee. Here students experience life in southern Germany by living with a host family, receiving intensive language instruction in a German school, touring the beautiful countryside and just hanging out at the Marktplatz or the Freibad with a host sister or brother. At the end of the third week, the group will head further north to visit Berlin, one of Europe's most lively, interesting and historical cities. During this long weekend, students see first hand what it is like to live in this cosmopolitan city. Art, music, drama, history and fun are all included. On the way to Berlin, the students stop in Nürnberg for a visit to this famous medieval fairy tale city. For the end of the trip, the students are back in Bad Waldsee for their famous Sommerfest and then head back home. | |
