| but also share your culture with your Chinese host family and new friends. You'll join other students and an adult Team Mission Leader at a local middle school and attend morning classes in the Mandarin language, as well as Chinese culture, calligraphy, cooking, history, and religion. You can earn up to 40 hours of community service credit by helping Chinese students improve their spoken English and teaching them about life in the U.S. In addition, you will take part in excursions to cultural sites.
