| These gardens were famed throughout Europe in their heyday, and the Trust have been restoring them after years of neglect. The many features includes a lake, island with pavilion, grotto, viewpoints and vistas. There has been an annnual event at Claremont for the last 20 years. This year, we are hosting three evenings of popular music in this magical setting. You will play an important role in the running of this event by helping to make the garden ready for the audience (up to 4,500 per night), stewarding on the performance nights and putting things back to normal! Assisting with the event on each night means long hours, but lots of fun. You will need good communication skills and will ideally have completed at least one previous holiday. Or, from August 17 - 24, enjoy a week helping to restore one of England's earliest landscape gardens back to its original glory. The week's task will mainly consist of working with the gardening team, reopening the magnificent views that were once a major part of the garden's landscape but which sadly have long since overgrown.
