| Abroad China Exchange (ACE) organizes short and long-term teaching programs range from 1 month to more than a year. Applicants who are not sure how long they want to teach in China can apply for a short term program first and re-apply for another program upon completion.
English teachers are in large demand all over China with the concentration on the north-eastern and the south-eastern part of China like Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangzhou, and Shandong. However, teaching positions in other more rural and inner of China are also available. We will try to match the applicants with their preferences. However, such perfect matches are not always guarantee due to limited availability. If we do not find teaching positions in the locations you prefer, we will present you other available choices and you can decide.
partsFor summer program participants, monthly salary is RMB 2,000 (~USD 240) for current or graduated university students who have no prior teaching experience and RMB 4,000+ (~USD 480) for current teachers and those who have prior teaching experience or TEFL/TESL certificate. For other short term and long term programs, monthly salary is to be agreed upon by the applicant and the participating school or institution. It varies from province to province, depending on local needs and economic standards, but usually ranges between RMB 2,000 - 5,000 (~USD 240 - 600) a month. Those who have teaching certificate or experience will be paid at a higher salary or higher overall compensation package. Salary will be paid to the teachers at the end of each month.
