Description:
| The Russian Law & Policy Institute at the Hubert Humphrey School, Twin Cities Campus, is offering a Summer law & policy program in St. Petersburg and Moscow, Russia. Students admitted to the program can earn up to 5 credits for coursework in law, business, politics, economics, and Russian language. All instruction is in English. The program is open to graduate and upper level undergraduate students.
The program combines in-class instruction with visits to government offices, courts, private firms, and NGOs. Program Cost is $3,395.00, however, students who wish to arrange their own airfare may deduct $450.00 from the program cost.
In 2001, students watched customs prosecutors defend allegations of agency wrong doing in a Russian court of law and met in chambers with a justice who handled one of Russia’s leading espionage cases. They received a behind the scenes tours of Coca-Cola, Lomonosov porcelain factory, PFS Nautical Engineering, Otis Elevator, and Baltika Brewery. Students also visited numerous NGO’s, museums, and other cultural points of interest. We hope to make this years program even better.
