Description:
| The language program is designed to teach participants of all ages conversational Spanish in the shortest time possible. Following the same natural process by which children learn their native language (seeing, hearing, and repeating), participants are taught by association of images and sound. Avoiding translation from English to Spanish, participants learn from the outset to think and express themselves in Spanish.
The program is enhanced with daily cultural activities that provide the student with excellent opportunities to get to know Costa Rica, its people and its culture.
Students meet in groups of no more than four. Classes are given from 8 a.m. to 12 noon with a 20 minute break. During times of high enrollment, afternoon classes may be given from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. with a 20 minute break. Enjoy a free membership at Merecumbe Dance School were you will learn to dance merengue, salsa, cumbia and cha cha cha. Take part in Costa Rica cuisine cooking lessons and Thursday Night Social Club. Students also have the option to participate in a Pre Orientation Program so that our students have the easiest possible transition into the Costa Rican culture. Our program acts like a buffer for our students and is intended to make their first few days in Costa Rica, days they can relax and enjoy in a comfortable environment. We recommend this program to all travelers, experienced and non-experienced alike. It is a fun and inexpensive way to get to know the country and its people.
