Description:
| Escuela Sudamericana de Español has developed our own teaching methodology which combines both traditional and modern techniques, with an emphasis on rapid communication and comprehension. Our school has an optimal environment for private and group language instruction with well-insulated, spacious classrooms. All of our teachers have university degrees and most have specialized training in teaching Spanish to foreign students. We have over 8 years of experience in teaching Spanish.
Students usually study 4 hours per day, Monday – Friday, either in a private class or in groups with a maximum of 4 students. Our instructional books include grammar, vocabulary, idiomatic expressions and reading samples; other course materials include newspapers, songs and special lessons about Peruvian culture. Students also have access to a computer to do their homework. All are included in the fee for classes.
Students can choose a single or double room with private bath in our inn located next to the school (breakfast included). All rooms include a desk, chair and lamp for studying. At our inn, students have access to a video room with instructional videos, a telephone for receiving calls and faxes, a library of Spanish books, an informal room for receiving friends, and a sunny balcony with a great view overlooking Cusco.
Students may also choose to stay with a local family with a private room and shared bath (includes 3 meals per day). All families are located within 30 minutes walking distance and are carefully monitored to ensure consistent quality.
Our program includes the following free benefits: Internet access, cooking and dance classes, snacks during class breaks, a weekend in our country house in the Sacred Valley and a city tour.
Our school is located in the famous colonial neighborhood of San Blas, known as the home for the best artists in Cusco. San Blas features many quality restaurants, bars, cafes and shops.
We offer adventure travel tours to the famous Incan ruins of Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley, and Choquequiraw. We also have mountain bike, river rafting, and horseback riding day tours. We pay attention to details such as food, equipment and the knowledge level of guides to ensure the best adventure experiences possible.
In addition, we have volunteer programs working with children, the elderly or rural woman. | |
