Quality Guaranteed
The Spanish schools participating in this program have extensive experience teaching Spanish to U.S. and Canadian high school students. In addition, each school is CEELE-accredited.
CEELE stands for “Calidad en la Enseñanza del Español como Lengua Extranjera” or “Quality in the teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language.” CEELE accreditation is granted only after a school’s qualifications are rigorously reviewed by the prestigious Department of Modern Languages of the University of Alcalá de Henares, and by Eduespaña.
Student Scholarships
Each participating student receives a $400 scholarship, which is deducted from the program cost.
Teacher Benefits
Teachers who chaperone groups of 12 students receive free lodging and three meals per day, the right to participate in extracurricular activities organized for the students, and a certificate of participation.
Teachers who chaperone groups of 18 students receive the above and a travel stipend.
School Scholarships
For each group of 24 students that one high school enrolls in 2007, Eduespaña and the participating Spanish schools will grant that high school one full student scholarship for the following year. The scholarship will cover the cost of the Spanish language courses, but does not include travel to and from Spain.
