| Knox College, in cooperation with the University of Barcelona offers a full year of accredited academic study in the humanities and social sciences. Living and studying abroad are important compliments to the education of college students. Study abroad improves language skills, teaches about other cultures, and generally enhances self-reliance and maturity. In 1969, Knox chose the University of Barcelona as the site for its Program in Spain because of the excellence of its academic programs and the small number of Americans studying there. The activities constantly going on in this setting encompass an experience that will shape the academic, intellectual, and personal life of each participant. An open mind, an eager eye, and a good sense of humor will go a long way to making the Program in Barcelona an adventure of outward and inward discovery.
