Description:
| This year round program, administered in cooperation with our partner organization COINED - Comision de Intercambio Educativo, provides internship opportunities for U.S. students and young professionals in either Córdoba or Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Unpaid placements are available in business/ finance, hotel management/ tourism, computer science, and engineering fields. Two program options are available: a 1-month Spanish language course and a 2-month internship with an Argentinean company (Combination Language/Internship Option) or a 3-month internship with a host company (Internship Option). The program will begin on the first working day of each month.
CDS International, in cooperation with COINED will arrange pre-departure orientation mailing, airport pickup upon arrival in Argentina, 1-week cultural immersion/orientation seminar upon arrival in Córdoba, enrollment in language course, if chosen, arrangement of unpaid internship placement in your field with an Argentinean host company, arrangement of housing, and support throughout the program in Argentina and in the USA.
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must be U.S. citizens or Canadian students. Other citizens may apply if they are enrolled full-time at a U.S. college/university. These participants will be required to obtain their own work authorization. The maximum age for participation is 30. The program is open to college students and recent graduates with at least 2 years of study at a university/college and majoring in business, marketing, engineering, computer science, hotel management/tourism or related fields. Practical work experience is preferred but not required. Fluency in Spanish is required for Internship Option as participants must be able to immediately function in a Spanish- speaking work environment. For the Language/Internship Option, participants should have the equivalent of 2 years of post-secondary study.
TO APPLY: Participants should send in a completed application at least three months before your desired start date with a non-refundable application fee of $100—upon acceptance, pay the balance of the program fee. You will also arrange and pay for your flight to and from Argentina, arrive in Argentina for the program start date, select housing option in Argentina, provide proof of health insurance (available through CDS) and represent your home country in a responsible way.
