| The six-week long summer session at the University of Braunschweig is an intensive language program. Instruction is carried out in German by German faculty experienced in teaching German to non-native speakers and focuses on language and German culture and civilization.
Braunschweigis a modern city in northern Germany with a population of 300,000 whose long history and tradition are reflected in numerous architectural monuments. Nearby are numerous medieval towns and villages with half-timbered houses, romanesque and gothic churches and city halls, the recreational areas of the Harz Mountains and the Luneburger Heide, and the former East German border. The metropolitan centers of Hamburg and Berlin are readily accessible by private or public transportation. | |
