Description:
| The purpose of this program is: To allow participants to study Spanish in a total immersion method for two weeks; Gain insight into the cultural, social and political environments of Mexico; Develop a better understanding of Latin family life by living with a host family. All study is done through the Kukulcan Spanish Institute in Cuernavaca, Mexico. Kukulcan is an institute that uses the total immersion method in which students live with mexican families, eat with them, and attend classes for 5 1/2 hours per day. native professors teach groups of students that average 5-7 students per class. the focus is on developing communicative strategies and cultural awareness in spanish. Students take a proficiency exam for proper placement.
