| Barcelona is the heart and soul of the autonomous region of Catalonia in the northeast corner of Spain. Chosen as the site for the 1992 Olympic Games, Barcelona has become one of the most cosmopolitan and exciting cities in Europe. This sophisticated city has a great deal to offer: a favorable climate, sandy beaches, great night life, an impressive Olympic port area, museums and historical sights.
You can admire monuments from the Gothic era to the Spanish Art Nouveau, such as the masterpieces of the genius Gaudí; walk through the lively bustle of the “Ramblas” and attend avant-garde theatrical shows.
CP Barcelona is located in the grounds of the Open Sports Club in El Prat de Llobregat, a 100,000 square meter country club just outside Barcelona. This is, therefore, an ideal location for both language and sports training in an enjoyable and exclusive open-air environment.
A full program of cultural activities is provided by CP Barcelona, in addition to the activities offered at the Open Sports Club. Planned excursions include Barcelona and its museums, the Tibidabo Amusement Park, el ”Pueblo Español” and Montjuic. Additional recreational and social activities are encouraged, such as night-life activities, cinema, the Port Aventura Park, beach BBQ, shopping tours or cultural events.
Weekend travel destinations will enable students to explore Spain, e.g. Madrid, Girona, Tarragona, the Catalonian monasteries, Valencia and other coastal areas, the Spanish Pyrenees or Andalucía.
At CP Barcelona, we engage learners in the communication process and intensively practice the four linguistic skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. Student progress is evaluated continuously.
