| Located about 4 hours from either Mexico City or Guadalajara, Morelia is a university city with about 80.000 students studying at one of the four universities. Despite its size (population 800,000), the city is fairly compact with everything of interest within walking distance of the central plaza. A climate of perpetual spring makes Morelia a nice destination.
This AmeriSpan program works well for the most advanced level students. Not only are the teachers highly educated in many other subjects besides Spanish, but also, due to the private classes, students have substantial influence over what is covered in class.
Program (included in tuition): 4 hours daily instruction (20 hrs/week), One-on-One Instruction, Intercambio (paired with Mexicans, take turns speaking English/Spanish), Some organized activities (2 per week during June-August), Private room with host family, 3 meals daily, Travel insurance & assistance, Emergency message service.
