Description:
| Sanaa, the capital of Yemen, is an ancient walled city reputedly founded by Shem, one of the three sons of Noah. The city contains, among other sights, what may be the oldest apartment buildings on earth. Elsewhere in Yemen are rugged mountains, deserts, coastal plains, and beaches on the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. The Muslim people who inhabit Yemen's towns and villages are as varied as the terrain: Tihamis, whose descendants are African; the Arabic-featured Highlanders; and, in the desert, nomadic edouins.
Our school, located close to al-Ga Square, was established in 1990 and is located in the city center of Sana'a only 200 meters from the main post office. The school is a high standard and offers good classrooms, living area and audio labs. Women will be subject to dress rules and local codes of behaviour.
Standard: 4 Lessons of daily instruction (20 lessons per week), max 6 students per class. The cultural program also includes film screenings, preparing traditional Yemeni food, learning Yemeni dance and music. Program could include private tuition. Normal program length is 5 or 10 weeks in length, other options maybe available upon request.
