| Our school is a leading language school in Hong Kong, specializing in Cantonese and Mandarin learning. program. Located in a pleasant part of Hong Kong City on the Kowloon Side and just above the Yaumatei MTR station Exit C. The school is a modern building (3000 SQ feet) with 7 classrooms, a language laboratory equipped with audio and visual aids to facilitate language training. The school also has a small café area; social area where students gather between breaks for refreshments and is close to all amenities.
The school has more than 50 Cantonese and Mandarin teachers who bring years of experience and all are native speakers, either born in Hong Kong or Guangdong in the cases of the Cantonese teachers. Classes are small with a strict maximum of 7 to a class; average 5 to ensure that each student receives the maximum of individual attention.
Standrad program: 3 Lessons of daily instruction (15 lessons per week). Classes can take place either in the morning or afternoon. Class size: 7 to a class, average 5, there are 10-minute breaks between each sessions. Private lessons are also available.
The text material is designed by the school and each language session is divided into 3 sub-sessions. 1st) Sub-session is a teaching session, a native instructor who can speak fluent English will teach new words. 2nd) Sub-session is a conversational session, a native instructor who can’t speak English will drill what students have learnt in the previous session. 3rd) Sub-session is to listen to the cassette tapes at the language lab, to ensure the accuracy in pronunciation. Each student takes a placement test upon arrival.
Sport and gym facilities are located nearby in Kowloon Park in Tsim Sha Tsui, YMCA in Yaumatei. Free e-mail access is at the library, which is a 15-minute walk. Weekend trips are sometimes organized and this would be at an additional charge. | |
