Description:
| Visits to professional places of business including: architecture and design offices, marketing centers, retail shops and showrooms, companies, and factories are included in the program to provide insight into the contemporary role and operation of business in Italy. Visits to museums and historic and contemporary architectural sites are included to provide for a historical foundation for the understanding of design and architecture in Italy. Walking tours will be conducted by the director of the program to provide an understanding of city planning. The program will begin in Milan and will include a week in Sorrento, a weekend in Florence, and a day trip to Venice. Students will reside in Milan, Italy’s commercial and industrial heart and center for both design and architecture in Europe. | |
