Description:
| The London Academy of Theater offers actors and designers a conservatory experience in London. Our thirteen week semester is available in the fall and the winter. Classes include: acting, audition workshops, voice, singing,speech, movement, historical dance, stage combat,Alexander technique and Laban movement. Theater history and criticism are offered in the winter term. Students rehearse and perform classical British text which includes Shakespeare. Weekly theater trips and cultural outings in and around London enhance the overall experience. Our faculty come from London's professional theater tradition.
Theater design students have studio classes in costume and set design at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. This unique program provides design students with professional demands and exposure to many of London's top theaters. Their work is exhibited at the Globe Theatre and seen by people from all over the world.
Students live in comfortable and attractive flats in London.
