Description:
| Participants will have the opportunity to study Russian language, culture, literature and civilization and to experience Russian life. Moscow State University is the oldest and most prestigious university in Russia. During their eight week stay in Moscow, students will engage in intensive study of Russian. Classes are offered at three levels, beginning, intermediate, and advanced. The afternoons and weekends will be free for discovering Moscow and its countryside. Trips outside Moscow will enable the students to broaden their understanding of Russia, its culture and people. Additionally, students will see Estonia. While lounging by the sea, students will have a brief seminar on Russian history and culture. The program offers four guided tours in Moscow (bus-trip around Moscow, the Kremlin with its Towers, Cathedrals and Armoury Chamber, Tretjakov Art Gallery, and the best Russian chocolate factory "Red October"), and tickets to the classic ballet performance and the famous Russian circus. The program also includes a four day trip with excursions to historic St. Petersburg, a five day trip to picturesque Sochi and a brief side-trip from St. Petersburg to the old-world atmosphere of Tallinn, capital of the former Soviet Repbulic of Estonia, located on the Baltic Sea coast. | |
