Description:
| IES Nagoya students directly enroll in Nanzan University’s (Nanzan Daigaku) Center for Japanese Studies (CJS). Students take intensive Japanese language instruction complemented by area studies courses taught in English, including courses in the humanities and social sciences as well as hands-on instruction in Japanese studio arts. Students with particularly advanced language skills may take seminars taught in Japanese. The CJS is housed in the daini kenkyuutoo (the Second Research Building) on Nanzan University’s campus. The university’s library contains more than 600,000 volumes, many of which are in Western languages. The IES Nagoya program, founded in 1986, enrolls about 20 students per semester. | |
