| The St. Cloud State University (SCSU) Environmental Field Studies Program is an interdisciplinary spring (and optional fall) semester-long study abroad program open to all majors. The emphasis of the program is hands-on learning in the field with core courses in environmental studies. Complementary study includes Latin American/Costa Rican culture and introductory conversational Spanish. The primary location of the program is west-central Costa Rica, with approximately six weeks of environmental field study in ecologically diverse locations throughout the country and region. Participants will also have the opportunity to work directly with environmental-related projects through the service-learning components of the program. | |
