Description:
| Famous for its Renaissance legacy, Florence is a thriving city of half a million people and a fascinating mix of old and new. Buses, taxis, and mopeds drive within feet of the Duomo, Florence’s magnificent cathedral; chic shops and elegant restaurants line the charming avenues; historic piazzas, ringed with outdoor cafes, host performance artists and flea markets. Enjoy the region’s mild climate and world famous cuisine in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.
This program is designed for students who have had little or no previous study of the Italian language. Take classes in art, language, and culture in a 15th century palazzo adorned with murals and statues. Just steps from Santa Croce and a short walk to the Duomo, the Uffizi Gallery, and Ponte Vecchio, the resources of the city will enrich your studies. The warm and friendly Florentines are happy to encourage your language acquisition, and Florence’s central location makes it easy to explore the surrounding area, as well as the rest of Italy and Europe.
Combine an Italian language course with art, culture, or business courses. All courses are taught in English by Italian faculty. | |
