Description:
| IES Sydney program allows students to discover Australia by providing an integrated program of formal academic teaching and informal field study. IES students also explore issues through the orientation program organized by IES. The IES Sydney program offers semester, full-year, and calendar-year study options with direct enrollment in two of Sydney's major universities, the University of New South Wales and Macquarie University. The University of New South Wales is one of Australia's leading research universities with over 40,000 students including 8,800 international students. Located on an attractive campus close to the heart of Sydney, the university prides itself on its teaching as well as research. It also has many extracurricular opportunities including sports clubs, a student entertainment center and moving screenings. Macquarie University styles itself as Australia's innovative university. Located eleven miles from central Sydney, the university combines access to the excitement of metropolitan Sydney with the chance for active involvement in campus life in a suburban setting. Extracurricular activities include the sports associations, market days, and theme weeks, and the campus is located not far from Lane Cove National Park. | |
