| The course will take place in Maastricht/Amsterdam, The Netherlands: The city of Maastricht will be our home base for this study of international and multicultural education. Maastricht is an ancient and beautiful small city with a history that dates back to the Roman empire, and was the recent home for the signing of the treaty of the European Union only a short time ago. Maastricht is a unique city with a characteristic flamboyant atmosphere. The versatile Maastricht architecture will strike anybody setting foot in Maastricht for the first time.
While this lovely city is located in the Netherlands, it is located very near to the borders of Belgium and Germany, and it is easy to actually walk into either of these other countries. This geographical location makes first-hand study of a variety of education systems and cultures convenient and enjoyable. Students will also travel the short distance to Amsterdam, a major international European city with beautiful canals, exceptional historical and cultural sites, and very interesting educational institutions. | |
