Description:
| This program, available for fall or spring semester, is open to juniors, seniors and post-graduates and seniors with a 2.5 minimum GPA. Placements in a wide range of companies and institutions in international business, finance, marketing, international relations, education, media, museums and galleries, social services, politics, art and design firms, theater and entertainment. Each participant receives individual attention to clarify and set goals. Small, academically challenging classes complement intern work. The required Contemporary British Culture course introduces societal values, perspectives and cultural issues. The continuous workshop prepares students for the European and British workplace and supports students during placement. One or two more three credit courses are taken at a fully accredited, four year, degree granting university. Transcripts issued by Richmond, The American International University in London, a U.S.-accredited university.
Students are housed in double rooms in University residence halls. Students receive 10 meals a week (Monday through Friday) in the cafeteria. Additional meals may be purchased at a set price.
AIFS program fees are $10,495 per semester and include tuition, housing, outbound flight, cultural activities, services of an on-site Director and services of a pre-departure Student Advisory Center.
Application deadlines are May 15 for fall semester; November 1 for spring semester. Scholarships are available. | |
