Description:
| Available for an academic year, fall or spring semester, the program is open to freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors with a 2.5 minimum GPA. Three levels of instruction taught in Spanish by University of Salamanca professors: elementary, intermediate/advanced and superior. Three week orientation and Spanish language preparation in Salamanca. Students are matriculated in the Facultad de Filología of the University of Salamanca and fully integrated into University social and cultural life. Transcripts issued by University of Salamanca. Student visa must be obtained from the Spanish consulate before departure from the U.S. Full year students may take optional independent study in January between semesters.
Students are housed and have three meals a day in a Spanish household.
Cultural activities include day trips to Segovia, Galicia or Toledo. All visits are escorted and professionally guided.
AIFS program fees are $9,795 per semester or $17,690 for an academic year and include tuition, housing and meals, free outbound flight, cultural activities, 3 day London stopover before the program begins, services of an on-site Resident Director, week of travel in Andalucia visiting Seville, Granada, Cordoba and the Costa del Sol and services of a pre-departure Student Advisory Center.
Application deadlines are May 15 for academic year or fall semester; November 1 for spring semester. Scholarships are available. | |
