Description:
| The Academia de Español Quito (AEQ)was founded in 1982 as the first institution of its kind in all of South America.
The school is located in the commercial part of modern Quito. It is an area with many tourist attractions, surrounded by first class hotels, restaurants, cafes, banks, travel agencies, airline offices, libraries, universities, museums, craft shops, shopping malls, and embassies.
AEQ has established very high standards for its instruction and operation. It seeks to do everything it can to provide students with an opportunity for “spectacular expansion” of their speaking, writing, and reading abilities. As part of that rapid growth in understanding Spanish, students will also gain a greater understanding of an identification with the culture and people of Latin America.
"ESPAÑOL ACTIVA” PROGRAM:
San Francisco de Quito, Ecuador’s capital, is the pride of Ecuadorians and the object of international admiration. It was declared “Cultural Patrimony of Mankind” by UNESCO. It is well known for its treasures of Colonial churches, paintings, sculptures, and carvings.
To help students discover our magic and hospitable city, we have designed the Activa Program.
Each day students take individual classes in the morning, from 08h30 to 12h30. In the afternoon, from 13h30 to 16h30 they visit different places of historic and contemporary interest in and around the city. Teachers act as guides showing the students these places, using the community as a classroom. In that way, alumni enjoy a combination of classroom instruction and various cultural and social activities.
The price includes public transportation as necessary for the various excursions, entrance fees to museums, art galleries, exhibitions and a beverage/snack in the afternoon
