| A private educational institution, ICAI was established in 1984 and began offering intensive Spanish courses to individuals who wanted to enhance their linguistic skills and fluency in the language. Since its creation, the Institute has registered thousands of participants. Those attending the Spanish courses have come from a wide range of age groups and professional backgrounds; and from every state in the continental United States, Canada, Europe, Japan and other countries.
The Institute is located in a quiet, residential area 10 minutes from downtown San Jose and just a few blocks from The House of Congress, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The National Park and other important landmarks of San Jose. Besides the main school building, there is a Student Club House where students can relax between and after classes, have lunch, watch cable, surf the Internet and do their e-mail. | |
