| CAVILAM was founded in 1964 by the Municipality of Vichy in collaboration with the two Universities of Clermont-Ferrand. Today, the universities regulate teaching standards, and provide additional expertise in organizing teaching programmes. This has led to an excellent international reputation which is built on well designed and effective teaching program. Today CAVILAM is also a member of SOUFFLE, a prestigious group of professional organizations who focus on the teaching French as a foreign language. Currently CAVILAM is centrally located within Vichy, and as such is close to everything you will want to see and do within this city.
At CAVILAM, you can take full advantage of studying French in France. All the teaching staff are native speakers, and specialists in teaching French as a foreign language. The teaching methods employed by CAVILAM ensure that you can participate freely and actively in the classroom. The majority of the teaching materials have been put together by CAVILAM with the help of the local universities. The programs offered by CAVILAM are designed to enable you to make rapid progress in mastering French grammar and prononciation.
