| The Graduate School of Arts and Science of New York University offers graduate programs at the NYU Center in Paris leading to the Master of Arts degree in French literature and the Master of Arts degree in French language and civilization. A program of summer study for graduate students is also available. Graduate study at NYU in Paris offers M.A. candidates a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the heart of French intellectual and cultural life. Drawing on the resources of New York University and the city of Paris, our M.A. programs are small and personalized and offer a very high degree of quality. A full staff and a highly regarded and diverse faculty ensure that M.A. candidates receive personal attention and academic support. Travaux dirigés (tutorials) and writing assistance are available and arranged as needed. The NYU Center adds to the quality of intellectual life in Paris and of our M.A. programs by hosting many conferences and lectures that bring together artists, filmmakers, politicians, and writers. Our full range of cultural excursions and social activities round out the M.A. program in Paris and lead to a rigorous and enriching study experience.
The curriculum is designed and administered to ensure contact with New York University faculty members as well as with members of the French university faculties. The curriculum also provides experience with the French university system where American students study alongside French students.
