Description:
| The Graduate School of Arts and Science at New York University offers two M.A. programs through NYU in Madrid: the Master of Arts program in Hispanic culture and the Master of Arts program in Hispanic literature. Courses are given by the NYU in Madrid faculty, which has outstanding qualifications in all areas of the humanities: Spanish language, literature, and culture; art history; politics; anthropology; sociology; literary theory; and cultural studies. Classroom work is enhanced by the many lectures, excursions, and other extracurricular activities that are an integral part of the program.
NYU in Madrid students may also enroll in courses at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid or the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, for which they receive full NYU credit.
All courses are conducted in Spanish. Students are expected to have native or near-native knowledge of Spanish and a level of analytical expertise equivalent to that of graduate students in the Spanish university system.
Accepted students will receive a current Graduate School of Arts and Science Bulletin. They are expected to familiarize themselves with the policies and procedures governing academic standards and the awarding of degrees.
