Description:
| New York University in Florence at La Pietra offers an exceptional academic program for undergraduate students during the fall or spring semester as well as the full academic year. Most courses (except Italian language courses) are taught in English. Students are required to take an Italian language course. In addition, some NYU content courses are offered in Italian to students proficient in the language. Approximately 300 undergraduates per semester study the history of Europe and its extraordinary cultural legacy of art, literature, philosophy, and architecture; the political, cultural, economic, and social issues that are shaping the future of Europe; and intensive Italian at the beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels. Courses in business, film, photography, and studio art are also available. Classes are held at Villa Ulivi and at nearby downtown locations. Language courses are taught at the Centro Linguistico di Ateneo at the University of Florence. Additional offerings for students with advanced Italian language skills are offered at the University of Florence. | |
