Description:
| While living with your host family in Panamá, your schooling will consist of 8-10 subjects in the sciences, business, or humanities. You'll probably get to school via private bus service, paid for by AFS Programas Interculturales – Panamá. Daily homework is taken seriously.
During the academic year, which runs from April through December, extracurricular activities offer opportunities to make friends. These include sports such as basketball, soccer, and volleyball, marching bands, and other clubs.
AFS offers several excursions and short exchanges including an orientation in the mountains, a trip to the Panamá Canal, and a three- or four-day trip to Bocas del Toro. There is also an optional two-day trip to the San Blas Islands, at an additional cost.
