Description:
| The China Studies Program (CSP), is designed for Christian students who wish to integrate their faith and values with knowledge and experience. It is for those who desire to find out for themselves what God asks of them and what it means to act on what they learn in all areas of life. It seeks to prepare students to live out their faith in a multinational and culturally diverse world, whether that be in China, North America, or other parts of the world. The CSP enables students to view China from the inside, to experience its culture and its diversities. Participants are able to observe the evolution of "socialism with Chinese characteristics," and China's struggles with rapid modernization and social change. In addition, CSP students confront the misunderstandings that have existed between China and the West from each side of that divide. This happens through formal classes and study tours, but especially by meeting and interacting informally with Chinese undergraduates on campus | |
