Description:
| Granada, the beautiful Andalusian cultural and intellectual center, has served as an inspiration for generations of artists including Spain's most famous poet, Federico Garcia Lorca. Home of the Alhambra, one of Europe's most stunning monuments, Granada provides a fascinating fusion of Arab and Christian traditions, as well as access to the high peaks of the Sierra Nevada, the great cities of southern Spain, and the semitropical Mediterranean coast.
This program, designed for students with little or no Spanish language skills, provides the equivalent of three college semesters of Spanish in one semester. You benefit from intensive language instruction and interdisciplinary seminars taught by professors at the University of Granada and professionals at the city's vital cultural institutions. Coursework and classes conducted entirely in Spanish, experiential field exercises, and cultural immersion through homestays accelerate your comprehension of one of the world's most important international languages and enhance your appreciation of the rich cultural heritage of the people of Andalucia. | |
