Description:
| Of all the cities they occupied and lost in Spain, the Moors most mourned the loss of Granada, in which they found their chief joy and delight. The magnificent Alhambra still dominates this beautiful city which, with its intriguing old Muslim quarter and breathtaking setting in the Sierra Nevada, is an inspiring location in which to study the unique customs and diverse cultures of Andalucia.
This program, designed for students with at least two full years of college-level Spanish, features language instruction with professors from the University of Granada, as well as opportunities for experiential language learning through homestays, community activities, and educational excursions to some of southern Spain's most important cultural centers and attractions. As you study the history and politics of Spain, assist with community language classes, and take part in sports and social activities, you gain a profound understanding of Spain's extraordinary cultural contributions. | |
