Description:
| Study the history and various aspects of the culture(s) of the Arab and Islamic World with special emphasis on Egypt. Lectures on History, Language, Literature, Arts, and Religion etc. combined with study tours of important historical and cultural sites in and around Cairo, such as the Pyramids of Giza and al-Azhar (the world’s oldest continually operating university), and in Alexandria and Upper Egypt. The lectures and Accommodation will be at the campus of the American University in Cairo.
The Cost of the program (round-trip airfare from Chicago to Cairo, fees, room, board, and field trips) is estimated at no more than $4000.00 (including $600.00) for meals and personal expenses. | |
